FOR KIDS: Gratitude and Visualization Games - Snowy Day!
I am going to play the games that are suggested in the “Words of Wonder’ book. These are things I feel grateful for and would enjoy visualizing. When you play the game think of things you feel grateful for and would enjoy visualizing! The first two games are gratitude and visualization.
To warm up, do the following: Take 5 slow deep breaths and feel very calm and a little happy. Now I am ready to write down what I am grateful for and picture myself going through the day.
Gratitude for this week:
I can see the snow falling outside.
Visualization for this week: The house is warm, and the world outside looks cold and inviting. I bundle up in warm clothes and head outside to experience the snow—walking through it, catching snowflakes, and breathing in the crisp, fresh air. I know that if I get too cold, I can always return to the cozy house and sit by the fireplace to warm up. While outside, I start packing snow into a ball and soon realize I’ve built a snowman. I want to decorate him, but the chill is setting in, so I head back inside. My dad has a warm cup of hot cocoa waiting for me, and my mom has prepared some buttered toast.
