FOR PARENTS AND ADULTS: Gratitude and Visualization Games - Dogs and Cats!

I am going to play the games that are suggested in the  “Words of Wonder’  book.    These are things I feel grateful for and would enjoy visualizing.   When you play the game think of things you feel grateful for and would enjoy visualizing! The first two games are gratitude and visualization.

To warm up, do the following: Take 5 slow deep breaths and feel very calm and a little happy.  Now I am ready to write down what I am grateful for and picture myself going through the day.

Gratitude for this week:   I am grateful for the love and loyalty of dogs that I receive every day.

Visualization for this week:   In the morning, the dogs are there to gently wake me up, ready to start the day. Their tails are wagging, and they look so happy to see me. It’s such a heartwarming way to wake up.  After I wake up, the dogs get even more excited when I actually get out of bed. We all rush to the door, and I let them outside. While they explore the yard, I take a moment to get a sense of what the day will be like weather-wise. Then, I put on some tea and start preparing the dogs’ breakfast. Considering there are sometimes seven of them, they get along pretty well. Some of the dogs even playfully take on the role of protectors, keeping the others from getting under their humans’ feet.
